Description: This dataset is a publication of the data collected by the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in the year 2024 from each municipality in the Council's region for the purpose of complying with "Transmission of digital parcel file. Annual report." Conn. Gen. Stat. § 7-100l (2018). This data is provided as a service to assist stakeholders, GIS users and community members in gathering information for a variety of needs and describes assessed real property in the SECOG region of Connecticut.Parcel data was received by SECOG staff from municipalities and vendors serving municipalities in the region. Parcel data was then reformatted, if needed, to comply with the standard schema provided by the CT GIS Office. Parcel types provided in the schema included Standard(1), Condominium(2), State ROW(3), Municipal ROW(4), Railroad ROW(5), Private ROW(7), Water Feature(8), and Paper Street(9). Parcel types added by SECOG were Error(00) and Building(6). Most parcels had to classified into parcel type after submission by using a combination of information from the corresponding CAMA record and other data sources like the CT DOT. Parcels were designated 'Error' if the parcel was a sliver or out of bounds and no corresponding CAMA record could be found. This dataset only includes parcel types: Standard, Condo, Building, Private ROW, and Paper Street.Some parcel geometry was edited only to add parcels where a building was missing a corresponding underlying parcel, and closing holes in parcels where buildings were punched out. Topology was not used.To join with the 2024 SECOG CAMA data, use the 'Link' field in the parcel layer and the 'Parcel_Link' field in the CAMA data.Parcel data was collected between April and June 2024. "Updated to" date varies between towns. SECOG only collects the data, it does not update parcel data for individual towns. Information may have changed between the date the data was last updated and the date it is viewed, and so this data should be considered a snapshot in time. For discrepancies or errors in this dataset, please contact the respective municipality in which the parcel is located. This data should be used for informational and planning purposes only, and should not be used as a legal description of boundaries.

Description: This dataset is a SECOG created feature class derived from the regionwide parcel submissions in 2024. Geoprocessing was used to convert polygons to lines, and then to delete identical lines. Then lines were split at vertices, and finally, a field was added for the geometrically-calculated length in feet. Lot lines are derived from parcel geometry that may not follow legal descriptions or surveys, and for that reason the measurements are for illustrative and planning purposes only, and not to be used for legal descriptions. For data corrections, contact the town where the parcel exists.
