Service Description: Porter, Sam - 5201_Geovisualization - Autumn 2024 - Lab 02 Part 2
This map is displaying data for analyzation of a correlation between the total number of criminal offenses compared to the average male life expectancy. This topic is important for mental health themes. Typically, when the average male life expectancy is higher, there are less suicide rates, healthier family relationships, less alcohol consumption, and a heathy diet, according to Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. This map displays if there is a correlation in lower life expectancies with a higher number of criminal offenses. If the total number of criminal offenses are higher along with lower male life expectancies, we can determine a correlation and identify factors for this reason such as a few listed previously. First, however, identifying the correlation in counties is important to understanding if the total number of criminal offenses relate to male life expectancy.
