Description: Updated 1/16/2020. Groomed Snowmobile routes for Valley County, Idaho based on the snowmobile data received from the Payette and Boise National Forests. Route data has been edited to include break points at all junctions, route names have been added, and route numbers have been added where missing. Original snowmobile route data was received from the Payette and Boise National Forests. For the Boise, their data is from 2014 and stated that, "This layer contains groomed snowmobile routes in and around the Boise National Forest. This data was compiled in effort to produce the Boise National Forest Winter Travel Map that was eventually published for the winter of 2014." For the Payette, some of their data is at least from 2017, as the Green Gate area has changed due to a closure and re-routing of the snowmobile tracks, "This data layer resulted from a change in the winter groomed snow route. After DF Development (owned by the Wilks Brothers) bought 172,000 acres of land NW of Payette Lake, they closed off all lands that used to be available for public access. As a result of this closure, the McCall Snowmobile Club rerouted and GPSed the original route to the Green Gate Parking lot and up into PNF lands in the winter of 2017. This layer is the resulting change in the Groomed Winter Recreation Snowmobile route."
