View In:   Map Viewer

Name: Peel_Trail

Display Field: Name

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline

Description:

The trails are represented as a single line network, with attribute information describing the type of path, its surface, the municipality it is located in, whether there is a seperated crossing, and a name, if one exists.

Trails may cross busy intersections, rail lines, and private property. Please follow the signage and use common sense and your best judgement when encountering dangerous situations along the trails.

The trails are connected to the Peel SLSN (December 2016) so that it can be used in conjunction with the road network to perform pedestrian network routing (under the assumption that every road that is not a 400-series freeway has sidewalks). The digitizing of the network was done using Spring 2016 imagery.
