Service Description: The Old Town of Djenne extends over 48.5 ha and is divided into ten districts. The market square, located next to the Great Mosque, is the heart of the town. The mosques and the tombs of the saints bear witness to the importance of the site for Islamic traditions, while many Koranic schools located in the urban area attract students from outside the region.
