Description:

The last year the pavement was repaired or improved on a roadway. The year represents when the construction was completed and the road was open-to-traffic.

This event layer captures when the surface pavement was last repaired or improved. If the surface pavement was completely removed and replaced with a new surface pavement layer, the construction project date would be captured in the Year of Last Construction event layer.

Reported Extent: All paved sample panel sections. Sample panel sections are any roadways, or parts of roadways, that were identified by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as requiring additional data to be reported in the 2024 HPMS report. Values may be available for other roadways.
