Description:

Channelization refers to a barrier (either physical or painted) that separates two lanes of traffic moving in the same direction. They are unlike medians, which separate traffic moving in opposite directions. For example, a painted gore that separates ramp traffic from mainline traffic. This layer is a custom layer developed by ADOT and is not part of the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) report. However, this layer is used to help calculate values required for HPMS.


Reported Extent: All public roads where channelization exists.
