Description:

Future AADT represents an approximate 20-year forecast for Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT), which is a measure of traffic for an average day of the year on the roadway. Future AADT may cover a period of 18 to 25 years but must be updated if the value is less than 18 years from reported Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) year.

Reported Extent: All sample panel sections. Sample panel sections are any roadways, or parts of roadways, that were identified by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as requiring additional data to be reported in the 2024 HPMS report. Values may be available for other roads but are not actively maintained.
