Description:

This data set represents the 2012 wolf hunt area boundaries for Wyoming. The linework was compiled from pre-existing layers at scales of 1:100,000 or better. Huntarea boundary descriptions are part of hunting regulations, which are approved and published by the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission. In addition to using the following pre-existing layers to capture linework, the Wyoming Road and Recreation Atlas (Benchmark Maps, 1st Edition, 2008) was consulted for road names and other information. Pre-existing layers: Continental Divide; Forest Boundaries; Grand Teton National Park Boundary; TIGER Roads; ESRI Streets; Wyoming State Boundary; ESRI Streams and Rivers (Detailed); National Elk Refuge Boundary; Wind River Indian Reservation Boundary; Yellowstone National Park Boundary. Most pre-existing layers included formal metadata as well.
