Description: This feature layer displays linear facilities of the proposed Cabin Run Pumped Storage project in Grant County, WV. The layer was digitized from a map of the project provided to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by Rye Development, LLC.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Purpose:</span><br />The layers display the location of various project facilities in relation to the natural and human-built environment.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Source:</span><br />The map was extracted from a filing to the FERC by Rye Development: Project No. P-15318-000, Cabin Run Pumped Storage Project, Response to FERC’s September 7, 2023, Preliminary Permit Application Deficiencies and Request for Additional Information, dated October 29, 2023.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Processing:</span><br />The PDF map was extracted from the filing and converted to TIFF image format. The TIFF image was georeferenced in ArcMap to the USA Topo seamless topographic basemap. Project facilities were digitized from the georeferenced TIFF to feature classes in a file geodatabase. The file geodatabase was zipped and uploaded to ArcGIS Online, where it was published as a feature service.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Symbolization:</span><br /><div>The feature layer's symbology is described below as it is shown in the Proposed Cabin Run Pumped Storage Facility map:</div><div><br /></div><div>Cabin Run PS Linear Features</div><ul><li>Penstock: red dashed line<br /></li><li>Transmission Line: yellow dashed line<br /></li><li>Fill/Refill Conduit: purple solid line<br /></li><li>Road: heavy black solid line</li></ul>
