Description: This data is a collection of all street segments that are listed as emergency snow routes on the city charter (Sec. 15-337). When a mayor declares a snow emergency, it is unlawful to park any cars on these streets.This data was compiled by Syracuse Community Geography in September of 2017The initial street shapefile from which these roads were clipped was edited from a 2016 New York State-wide street segment file from NYS GIS Clearinghouse. The street segments that fell within the Syracuse City boundary were selected and exported into a new shapefile to show only Syracuse City Streets.
