Description: The Scottish National Forest Estate has been managed by the Forestry Commission since 1919. Forest Enterprise Scotland is an Agency of the Forestry Commission and will devolve into an Agency of the Scottish Government and will be known as Forestry and Land Scotland. The new agency will continue to focus on delivering Scottish Government objectives. In 2018 there were ten administrative areas (Districts). These have been merged to form five Regions. Forestry in Scotland is regulated by a seperate agency called Scottish Forestry. Conservancy boundaries of the regulator are different from Regional Boundaries.
