Description: Rich, unpolluted fish areas are necessary for a good, large and healthy catch. However, there is little objective data available about the presence of fish in so-called fish-rich or fish-poor areas.
Other criteria also play a role in addition to the nature of the fishing grounds:
Distance to fishery harbours;
Presence of obstacles and (intensity of) non-compatible users.
