Service Description: This study investigates the spatial relationship between tax-incentivized areas and local labor market outcomes in California. The central research question is: How does proximity to New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) areas relate to spatial variation in unemployment rates across census tracts, after accounting for socioeconomic and environmental factors? The methodological approach proceeds in three stages: (1) exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA), (2) multivariate regression modeling, and (3) spatial regression to account for spatial dependence.
