Historic districts promote the economic, cultural, educational, and general welfare of their citizens through the preservation of buildings and places associated with a style of architecture that is locally or nationally important. New Haven has two State Historic Districts: Suburban Westville and Upper Davenport\Congress Avenues. This data has been used to gather information in individual districts and as a general reference.
