Otago Land Use February 2022 uses a number of datasets to inform the use of the land parcel. AgriBase is the main data source for the agricultural land in the region; Rates_2022 – internal ratings information informs the majority of the urban land uses. DOC and QEII records the land parcels under protection for conservation. Other land cover layers (LCDB v5 & LUCAS) are used as a proxy for land use when no other land use information can be found.
