Description: The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) and the Social Development Commission (SDC) ventured into a partnership to establish a National Community Grid for Jamaica. This partnership involved the sharing of SDC's community boundaries and descriptions and STATIN's demographic data (collected from the Population and Housing Census 2011), Enumeration District boundaries, and descriptions.The process involved the SDC superimposing their communityboundaries on STATIN's Enumeration District boundaries for each parishand where these boundaries did not align perfectly,the community boundaries were adjusted to establish'Best-fit Community boundaries.'
