Description: NRPC’s conserved lands layer contains a vector polygon data in shapefile format with 1,260 features. These data were compiled from by NRPC from multiple sources including town government officials, conservation commissions, and NH Granit, which maintains a similar data layer at a state-wide scale. Using the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds online database, NRPC staff determined the primary mechanism of legal protection of assigned to each parcels, and where it was available, the conservation agency that owns, manages, or stewards the property. In most cases, boundaries of conserved lots are aligned with the lot boundaries of NRPC’s GIS parcel data layer.
