&lt;p&gt;Electricity access is a crucial factor for improving quality of life, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. This indicator helps identify regions with energy deficits, facilitating policy planning to expand electrical infrastructure in vulnerable areas. The Electricity Access indicator measures the proportion of the population with electricity access in a given geographic area and is a key component of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), which aims to ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The dataset is based on a combination of satellite data and population models. First, WorldPop data—a global population distribution model—is used to estimate the number of inhabitants in each geographic unit. Then, this information is cross-referenced with VIIRS Nighttime Lights Version 2 (VNL V2) data, a set of satellite images mapping nighttime light intensity. It is assumed that illuminated areas have electricity access and that the population within these polygons has an electricity supply.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Compilation by AmazoniaForever360+&lt;/strong&gt; using original global data. The dataset includes municipal units that intersect or are contained within the Amazon region boundary. A highly simplified version of the original data structure is presented:&lt;/p&gt;
