Description:

Household hazardous waste facilities collect, store, and dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) from residents and conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQGs). HHW frequently includes materials such as automotive fluids (gasoline, antifreeze, etc.), pesticides, fertilizers, paint thinners, cleaning products, and solvents. This layer provides information about HHW facilities permitted by DEC. Some facility authorization dates may be expired, though the facility continues to operate under State Administrative Procedure Act (SAPA) protection.
