Description:

Assessments are intended to give users the ability to review NYS stream biological health determinations as they relate to the most recently performed Biological Assessment Profile (BAP) score (RIBS SOP #208-16, pg. 52-81). Macroinvertebrate community assessments were conducted by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Division of Water, Streams Monitoring and Assessment, Stream Biomonitoring Unit (SBU). Evaluations of stream condition are derived from macroinvertebrate sampling conducted as part of the Rotating Integrated Basin Studies (RIBS) program (RIBS SOP #210-17). Evaluations are conducted using the methods described in SBU standard operating procedures; RIBS SOP #208-16. Sample results provided were generated using the traveling kick and the multiplane artificial substrate sampling methodologies. (208-16, pg. 6).
