The data support general planning and analysis at the Nashua Regional Planning Commission.These data are reflected on the official kiosk posters at bus stops in the City and are reflected in RideGuide graphics available on the NTS website. This datalayer contains current NTS fixed day and night routes as well as seasonal/temporary routes within the City of Nashua.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>the Nashua Transit System is the tansit provider for the City of Nashua. </SPAN><SPAN>NTS currently operates ten permanent fixed transit routes daily, Monday through Saturday. The system also operates 'After 7’ night service on three routes: North, South, and Central, which provide service to heavy-demand areas of the city including Downtown, Route 101A, South Nashua, and the Exit 5 and 6 areas. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The Gate City Trolley is a free service in downtown Nashua operating on Friday and Saturday nights. The trolley stops at the Elm Street and High Street parking garages, as well as multiple locations downtown.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The NTS Holiday Circulator is a temporary route which serves several major shopping centers in South Nashua for a period of time every year in December during the height of the holiday shopping season. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The South Loop transit line provides transit coverage to residential and commercial areas of South Nashua surrounding Spit Brook Road and the Daniel Webster Highway during the winter season when snow conditions might make pedestrian travel hazardous.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>NRPC has managed the mapping of Nashua Transit System (NTS) bus routes since 2005 and has continued to work closely with the agency to update the route data on a regular basis. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>These transit route lines were derived from the NRPC road center lines. Since there is a high degree of fixed route overlap along streets, particularly in downtown Nashua, the routes are each modelled as a binary (yes/no) attribute on individual road centerline segments.
