Since that time, all stocks have been reviewed at least every three years or as new information becomes available. Stocks that are designated as "<a style='background-color:transparent; box-sizing:border-box; color:rgb(0, 67, 145);' target='_blank' href='https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/laws-and-policies/glossary-marine-mammal-protection-act#strategic-and-depleted-stocks' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>strategic</a>" are reviewed annually.
